Chalgrove Airfield

Chalgrove Airfield is a former World War II aerodrome near Chalgrove, South Oxfordshire that is allocated for redevelopment in the local plan to provide much needed homes for the area along with new community facilities and employment opportunities.

Led by Homes England, this project has been included in the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2034 to help address the significant lack of affordable housing in the county, and will also provide a range of jobs, local services and facilities – including new road bypasses – to meet the needs of both future residents and existing communities.

The project is a positive opportunity to use Government investment to transform a previously developed site – not in the green belt – into a new sustainable community.
